EnjoySAP - New Functions in Customer Hierarchy
Scope of Functions
As of Release 4.6A, maintaining and displaying the customer hierarchy is much easier.
There are no longer two different transactions for displaying and
maintaining the customer hierarchy. Instead, you can use transaction VDH1N to call up the new RV_CUSTOMER_HIERARCHY
program. You then enter a customer number and hierarchy type on the initial screen.
New Interface:
- The hierarchy is now displayed in a tree structure with the control
technique, which enables you to expand and close individual nodes. The
tree display is much bigger (including CO-PA level, customer account
group, and so on), and you can make it smaller if necessary by hiding various fields.
- Drag & Drop for moving customers within the hierarchy
- Context menu (right mouse button on Customer symbol)
- Multiple selection of hierarchy nodes
- Application log for collecting messages:
The system no longer displays success or error messages individually
but collects them in a log and issues them in a table that is displayed to the right at the bottom of the screen.
The following new functions are also available:
The previous transaction blocked all assignments per hierarchy type in
the customer hierarchy table KNVH. The new transaction only blocks
those data records that the user is currently processing. A new block object called E_KNVH has been created for this.
- New search help (F4) for the Customer field on the initial screen for the customer hierarchy:
Until now the system used the general customer search to look for a
customer. For Release 4.6, there is now a special customer search help
on the customer hierarchy initial screen. The search automatically includes the values that you entered in the
Hierarchy type and Validity date fields, and only displays those customers that
belong to that hierarchy type for that given time.
The old program RVKNVH00 is still available at the moment. Both
programs use the same blocking object - E_KNVH to access the database.
This ensures that both the new and the old program can be used at the same time.
