This component enables you to process PhilHealth (NHIP) contributions as of July 1, 1999, in line with Philippine legal and business requirements.

Every effort is made to guarantee the legal compliance of all PhilHealth contribution values set up in the system. However, as the laws affecting PhilHealth contributions change, you must verify and ensure compliance by performing all necessary configuration steps.

The PhilHealth (NHIP) component accesses data stored in various HR infotypes including Actions (0000), Organizational Assignment (0001), Personal Data (0002), Payroll Status (0003), SSS Philippines (0422), and PhilHealth (0596).

The component enables you to:

• Maintain employee PhilHealth information (infotype 0596)
• Process employer and employee contributions
• Perform monthly and quarterly PhilHealth reporting

The component only caters for private sector PhilHealth requirements previously managed by the Social Security System (SSS). It does not cater for public sector requirements previously managed by the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
