Create Wage Types for Cost Accounting

From the point of view of the employee, paid absences do not necessitate any changes to their wage types. However, cost accounting often requires that a distinction be made between attendance and absence remuneration. For this reason, cost accounting wage types are set up in Payroll. In this step, you specify which wage types are included in these cost accounting wage types as amounts.

Default Settings

In the standard system there are cost accounting wage types for leave, illness, public holidays and other paid absences. You must flag all the basic pay wage types to ensure the amount assigned to continued remuneration is created for these wage types.

Actions

1. Check which wage types are entered using infotype (0008), Basic Pay.
2. Enter a specification in processing class 31 for the wage types that are to be proportionally included in the cost accounting wage types.
