Scope of Functions

The valuation of averages was reworked and enhanced. The most important new features are:

• Previously, the time unit of the payroll periods used to calculate averages had to agree with the time unit of the payroll periods. From Release 4.6A, you can select different time units and thus calculate average values on a monthly basis despite a weekly payroll run.

• You can include off-cycle payroll runs in the average value calclation and thus determine which off-cycle reasons should apply.

• Customizing has been simplified and some settings are no longer made within personnel calculation rules, but using views, simplifying the procedure.

• The selection of average periods, that should be included in the calculation, has also been designed more clearly and can be modified to meet more complicated needs.
