Personnel Development 

Definition

The Personnel Development enterprise area consists of training and job related actions to qualify employees for the tasks they are required to perform. The main focus is on planning future tasks to be performed by employees at the enterprise (career planning), and on planning training and job related actions (training events, periods spent living and working abroad, etc.) to ensure that employees obtain or improve the qualifications they require to perform tasks in the present and in the future (individual personnel development planning).

Personnel Appraisal provides personnel development planning with information on the current profile of individual employees. It is an instrument used to prepare planning, and evaluate the success of developments.
