You can either define general keys for periods of notice or make contract-specific settings.

You can set the periods of notice for the general contract in the following ways:

1. Assign a notice key

A notice key defines rules for periods of notice. The rules can be based on the tenancy law, contract category or in relation to the contract term.

Notice keys are defined in Customizing for Real Estate.

2. Enter user-defined data in the master data of a contract

In the latter case, the system supports a period regulation and a deadline regulation.

Depending on the contract:

• You can determine exact periods of notice with frequencies of monthly, quarterly, or six monthly periods
• You can calculate the notice date based on the date on which the notice was received

Depending on the contract term:

• You can specify the date of notice
• You can calculate the date of notice from the receipt of the notice date
