Up to now, you did not become aware in Asset Accounting that a cost center was locked until the system rejected the posting of actual costs and issued an error message (cost center locked).
Now it is possible to avoid problems with depreciation posting due to locked cost centers at an early stage. Using event linkage, you can activate a workflow that is automatically started when a cost center is changed. The system triggers the workflow when the "actual primary costs" indicator is selected in the "lock" group box in the master record of the cost center, and the cost center is saved.
When a cost center is locked to primary actual postings, the system generates a list of those assets that have account assignment to the locked cost center. It sends this list to an agent.
There are then several options:
You activate event linkage by choosing
Preparing for Production Startup -> Authorization Management -> Assign
Workflow Tasks ->
Basic Functions -> Activate Event Linkage -> FIAA Cost Center Lock -> Cost Center Changed
