Scope of Functions

The structure of the Implementation Guide for the Material Master has been redesigned so that the individual IMG activities can be found more quickly. It contains the following sections:

• Configuring the Material Master

• Field Selection

• Basic Settings

• Settings for Key Fields

• Tools

• Retail-Specific Settings

The previous section Field Selection for Batches and Vendor Consignment Goods has been removed.

• Field selection for batches

Field selection for the maintenance of batch master data can now be accessed in the Implementation Guide for Batch Management in the section Field Selection for the Batch Master.

• Field selection for vendor consignment goods

As of Release 4.6A, consignment prices can be maintained only in purchasing info records. This has made the previous field selection, which used consignment price segments, obsolete. (For more information, see the documentation for the IMG activity Activate Consignment Prices Using Info Records in the Implementation Guide for General Settings (Materials Management)).
