Editing Status

The editing status indicates the stage that editing has reached and is determined when the document is saved. To save the active version of a document, a special authorization is required.

A documentation object or element can have the following editing statuses:

As yet no documentation has been written for this object.

The object does not require any documentation for one of the following three reasons:

This refers only to the definition itself. Information applying to specific screens, such as the procedure, can be stored in data element supplements.

The object is, for example, in a test phase or is being used temporarily.

The document is being revised. The raw version of a document may not be transported.

Editing has been completed and the document has been saved as active version.Thereby, the version is finalized and released for transport and translation.

Documents that have the editing status "final version", which was used in previous releases, can be included in a work list and edited. But you can save them only as raw version or as active version.
