When you use the
service type in the master data record, the service type and category stored in the Service Type infotype are used as the default values in the Organizational Assignment infotype when the employee is assigned to aposition.
It is also possible to specify a different service category or type when distributing costs to an organization unit or to a position.
To be able to use these functions, the service type catalog must be flagged as active when a company code is assigned to the catalog.
