Using the Ledger Statistics Tool

Procedure

  1. Choose Accounting ® Financial accounting ® Spec. Purpose Ledger, then Tools ® Ledger statistics.
  2. The Number of Data Records in the FI-SL Ledgers screen appears. The system lists the data dimensions that can be used as criteria for selecting ledger statistics. These dimensions are stored in table GLU1.

  3. Enter data as required.
  4. The data you enter determines the data that is used to display data record statistics for a ledger(s).

It is useful to use the Ledger statistics tool before you archive data records to see how many records have already been posted to your ledger(s). Based on the ledger statistics results, you can decide which data records you want to archive.

For information about using the archiving program, see Archiving and the Application Data Archiving and Reorganization documentation in the R/3 Library.

  5. Choose Program ® Execute.

The system lists statistics for each ledger, according to the criteria you entered on the Number of Data Records in the FI-SL Ledgers screen. For each ledger, the database tables to which records were posted are listed, as well as the number of records that have been posted to each ledger and to each database table.
