Synchronization of Customizing Data

In ALE integrated systems, Customizing data must be synchronized system-wide.

The Customizing data model describes which Customizing data has to be distributed and the systems the data is distributed from and to.

This model is defined in one central system and from here distributed to all the other systems. The distribution is modelled in message type CONDA2.

The ALE distribution group is a central modelling element for the distribution of ALE Customizing data. ALE distribution groups contain client-specific Customizing objects of category CUST.

The synchronization tool for customizing objects uses the Change and Transport System.

The generic authorization is the profile B_ALE_GRP_AL. When assigning authorizations, keep in mind security issues.

Note

In Releases up to 4.6A the distribution is modelled with the message type CONDAT. The Customizing data (control data) to be distributed must be defined as filter objects of this message type.

As you cannot use old and new modelling in parallel, you have to use a special tool to generate distribution groups for existing customizing objects.

The new tool has two main functions:

Modelling
