Planning the Output and Duration of Activities

Usage

To execute the project, you need to use various CO activities. For each of the individual network activities, you need to plan the necessary output (CO activity) and the duration required to execute the project. For each network activity you need to enter the:

On the basis of the work that has been planned, the system calculates the costs involved. In the work center of the activity, you maintain the data relevant for the costing. The work center is assigned to a cost center, for which activity types have been planned. The network activity contains a costing key that is used for the overhead calculation. The system determines the costs using the activity type prices and the overhead rates that have been stored for the cost estimate.

Work center PS01 contains cost center 4230, activity type 1421 "Labor hours", as well as a formula for calculating the costs of the internal activity (internal processing). For the overhead calculation, we have assigned costing key 13000 to the network activity using the network profile.

Prerequisites

You have opened your project in the Project Builder and expanded it completely.

Result

You have now defined the work and duration for the various activities. The system uses these data to calculate the costs incurred. In the next project step, you plan the dates for the whole project.
