5. The project is not the final cost object. The costs are first collected on the project, before being further allocated to the final cost objects at period end. In this process, you first settle the actual costs incurred by internal activity allocation for WBS element "System Optimization" to cost center 4295. The system automatically generates the corresponding offsetting postings to credit the WBS elements.
