Automatic Overtime Compensation 

Description

When time evaluation compensates overtime, the hours of overtime can either be remunerated or compensated with time in lieu, according to the overtime compensation type. For the latter option, employees receive time in lieu in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).

The Absence Quotas infotype (2006) was until now updated by personnel calculation rule TC20 using operation UPDTQ. As of Release 4.5A, you can take advantage of the extensive Customizing options for the new functions for absence quota accrual to update the infotype. This offers the following advantages, for example:

• You no longer have to create the absence quota manually

• You can determine the validity an deduction interval flexibly

If you want to use the new functions, you can implement them from the Time Management Implementation Guide Managing Time Accounts with Attendance/Absence Quotas. The selection rule 002 - Overtime compensation is set in standard Customizing as a reference for processing.
