Enhancements for Dangerous Goods Papers/EDI 

Description

As of R/3 Release 4.5A, the component Dangerous Goods Papers has been enhanced to include EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processing so that you can send a partner (forwarding agent or ship-to party) dangerous goods data in electronic form for a delivery or shipment. To use this function, you must have made the settings for output control and EDI.

Change system parameters in customizing

In Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management, the following changes are relevant for dangerous goods papers/EDI:

• General Basic Settings

• In the IMG activity Define indicator profile for SD documents, the Ma 10011 fix field has been set up. For further information, see the F1 help for the field.

• The IMG activity Specify date for determination of DG master data has been enhanced to include date fields for shipment documents.

• In the IMG activity Define transit countries, the Sequence field has been set up. For further information, see the documentation for the IMG activity.

• Dangerous Goods Papers/EDI

• In the IMG activity Specify output conditions, the EDI indicator has been implemented. For further information, see the F1 help for the indicator.

• The IMG activity Specify output control for EDI processing has been set up.
