Enhancements and Changes in the Dangerous Goods Master 

Description

As of R/3 Release 4.5A, enhancements and changes have been made in the R/3 component Dangerous Goods Master.

Changes to the interface

• The key for a dangerous goods master record is no longer composed of a material, validity area and mode of transport category. It is now composed of material and dangerous goods regulation. See Data Conversion from 4.0B to 4.5A for Dangerous Goods Management

• The dangerous goods material master has been renamed as the dangerous goods master.

• The edit DG master function has been renamed as change DG master.

• The dangerous goods master has been enhanced to include the substance characteristics II and Packaging request views. In the Packaging request view, you can record data for a dangerous goods master record according to the packaging code.

Changes in procedure

If you have also installed the R/3 component Product Safety, you can maintain dangerous goods master data from the R/3 component Product Safety as of Release 4.5A.

You can then use filling to transfer the data to the dangerous goods master. The data can then be distributed from there to another R/3 System.
