Determining Quantities for Batches/Discontinued Materials (Backflushing)
Description
How the system determines quantities in the case of batch splits or
discontinued materials in backflushing has been changed. The requirements or stocks resp. are now reduced sequentially.
This means in detail:
The batch stocks for a material are reduced according their order in
the component overview of the order. The consumed quantity of a
component is withdrawn during several partial confirmations from the
first batch until the planned requirements quantity is reached ot hr
batch is used up. Withdrawals are then made from the next batch.
The order of the batchs in the component overview is determined by the sort in the batch search strategy.
In the case of simple discontinuation, the stock of the material to be
be discontinued is used first, then the stock of the new material.
In the case of parallel discontinuation, the stock of the main
discontinued part is used first, then the stock of the new material(s).
The discontinued/new materials should be treated in the same way for
backflushing. For example the old and the new materials should both be backflushed or both not be backflushed.
