Parameter Effectivity in Production Orders
Description
You can now work with parameter effectivity in production orders. It is used for the explosion of master data (BOM/routing).
Parameter effectivity was introduced in Release 4.0A for bills of material (see
release information). In
Release 4.5A it use has been extended to routings, reference operation sets and other objects (see
release information).
The following applies for using parameter effectivity in production orders:
- The parameter effectivity is copied from the planned order (if it has
been maintained), during conversion to a prodction order.
- If you create a production order witrh reference to a sales order, the
parameter effectivity, if the material in the sales order is the same as the material in the production order. If the materials are
different, you can maintain the parameter effectivity in the order.
- If you create a production order for a material, for which parameter
effectivity is active, you are first prompted to enter as a reference
either a sales order with item or a WBS element. If you enter a sales
order, the parameter effectivity is determined as described above
(create production order with reference to a sales order). If you enter
a WBS element or neither a sales order nor a WBS element, you can enter the parameter effectivity in the production order.
- After the parameter effectivity has been eneterd in the production
order or copied from the sales order or planned order, it can only be displayed (Header -> Parameter effectivity
).
