High Volume Order Management 

Description

High volume order management offers the following options:

• Scheduling orders/collective orders

• Releasing orders/collective orders and operations/sub-operations

High volume order management has the following advantages over other mass processing functions (collective release, mass processing):

• It offers additional functions for scheduling and releasing

• It offers additional selection criteria.

• Requests can be written, that is, the functions are executed when a program is run in the background.

• Processing can run parallel.

The following should be considered when executing the functions:

• Scheduling with/without dates

It is possible to reschedule production orders. You can enter new basic dates for forward and backward scheduling, or shift the dates by a fixed amount. In addition, you can determine the dates by scheduling or, if available, copy them from the sales order. You can also change the scheduling type of the order.

In a collective order, all orders are scheduled. The data entered refers to the leading order.

Rescheduling is subject to the usual scheduling restrictions. For example, an order with the status DLV (delivered) cannot be rescheduled.

• Release

When releasing an order, you can decide if just the order, or the collective order, to which the order belongs, should be released.

When releasing an operation, you have the following options:

• Release the order to which the operation belongs

• Release the collective order to which the operation belongs

• Release an individual operation (all preceeding operations or orders for direct production assemblies must be released)

• Release an individual operation and all preceeding operations (all preceeding operations or orders for direct production assemblies are also released automatically)
