As of Release 4.5A, delivery and transportation scheduling can take place within one day or during working hours.
All the relevant date fields (staging of materials, loading, goods issue, delivery) have been supplemented with time fields.
You can use the 'Working hours' field in Customizing for the shipping point to decide which logic should be used for scheduling.
If the field is blank, scheduling is planned in terms of days, but if you have selected a working hour (IMG path 'Logistics Execution --> Shipping --> Basic Shipping Functions --> Scheduling --> Delivery and Transportation Scheduling --> Maintain working hours), it is planned in terms of minutes and during working hours (working hours in shipping points).
All the logistical functions in the warehouse that are built on times (picking waves, route schedules, use of doors, etc) must use delivery and transportation scheduling within a day/according to working hours.
This type of scheduling can mean that there are more schedule lines as before in the availability check.
We also plan to include the working hours of the forwarding agent for scheduling in a later release.
