In sales price calculations, the system checks which authorizations the user has to display, change and create price calculations. As of Release 4.5A, new authorization objects more suited to changing requirements are used for the authorization check.
Prior to Release 4.5A, authorizations were checked based on authorization object W_VKPR_VKO (IS-R Auth. sales price calculation,
distrib. chain). In additional to the activity governing the type of
authorization (display, change etc.), this authorization object also
comprises the authorization fields "sales organization" (VKORG) and
"distribution channel" (VTWEG), which make up the distribution chain.
This level of organization is not, however, detailed enough to meet new demands, as illustrated by the following examples:
To meet these new requirements, a separate authorization object has been developed for each of the three levels at which prices can be calculated (distribution chain, distribution chain/plant and distribution chain/price list). In addition to the organizational level involved, the material group is also contained in each object as an authorization field.
The three authorization objects are as follows:
The old authorization object W_VKPR_VKO is still in the system, and can be used for authorization checks in your own programs.
Report RWVKP06U has been created to speed up chaging over authorizations and authorization profiles to the new authorization check. Use this report to update manually created authorizations and single profiles. For more detailed information on this report, refer to the report documentation.
There is no program available for updating automatically generated
authorizations and profiles. The activity group on which generated
authorizations and profiles are based has to be changed manually. You can find the relevant activity groups via
information system authorizations transaction.
For example, in the selection parameter "authorization object" field,
enter the old authorization object W_VKPR_VKO or search for the
activity groups using generated profiles that you want to change and
that contain entries pertaining to the old authorization object. Make
sure you enter a suitable "User assignment" selection parameter, if you
want to find activity groups with or without user assignment. Maintain
the authorization fields for the new authorization objects as required and then generate the authorization profile.
