Compensating Absence Quotas 

Description

The administration of time off and leave entitlements has been enhanced so that you can now remunerate time off entitlements that are managed in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).
The new Time Quota Compensation infotype (0416) is used for compensating quotas. You are recommended to use the Absence Quotas (2006) and Time Quota Compensation (0416) combined as an alternative to the procedure using the Leave Entitlement (0005) and Leave Compensation (0083) infotypes.

Time quota compensations are evaluated in the gross part of R/3 Payroll Accounting using function P0416. New Customizing tables offer the following advantages over the old procedure:

• Simplified Customizing: Personnel calculation rules have been replaced by rule tables

• Simplified editing of compensations

• Time data administrators only need to specify a time quota compensation type (a subtype of the infotype) and the quota number when they create a quota compensation.

• If you want to compensate or deduct several quotas, you can specify a compensation record.

You can use free compensation for special situations. It allows you to enter all relevant data for a compensation flexibly.

Further notes

The Leave Entitlement (0005) and Leave Compensationabgeltungen (0083) infotypes will eventually be replaced by the enhancements to the Absence Quotas infotype (2006). You can continue to use the old functions in the transition period.
