Upgrade - General (BC-UPG)

Type of backup procedure during an SAP upgrade.

The upgrade strategy determines:

• the periods in which database mechanisms back up database actions.
• at which time the system stops operating productively.

There are three available upgrade strategies: A_on, A_switch, and A_off.
