Social insurance: Optional social / ecological year 

Description

Persons who complete an optional social or an optional ecological year are in all four areas of social insurance (health, nursing, pension and unemployment insurance):

• insurance liable, if money payments are received from the representative at the institution.
  In this case the representative from the institution acts as the employer and transfers the full amount (employee and employer contribution) to social insurance.

• insurance exempt, if no payments are received from the representative from the institution.

If your company has an employee who works as a representative for one of the relevant institutions that completes a social or ecological year, you can indicate this employee as of release 4.0B in the R/3 system.

Infotype social insurance (0013) was extended by a new social insurance attribute 08 (optional social year), with which the employee can be indicated with and that completes an optional social / ecological year.
