Creating a Class for Material Reconciliation

To carry out material reconciliation, you must classify the ingredients with a class of class type 050.

After you have created the class, assign the characteristics for material reconciliation to the class. The objects to be classified are to have these characteristics.

Procedure

Choose Logistics -> Central Functions -> Classification->master data -< classes.

The Class screen appears.

Choose Create.

There is no naming convention, so you can enter a description that corresponds to your own company's standards.

Choose the Characteristics tab page.

Use the F4 help to assign the following characteristics to the reconciliation class:

PPPI_MR_IF_USED: Relevance of the component for material reconciliation: yes/ no

PPPI_MR_FORMULA: Formula for calculation

PPPI_MR_RANGE_HIGH: Upper tolerance limit to which a deviation is valid in regard to the formula used

PPPI_MR_RANGE_LOW: Lower tolerance limit to which a deviation is valid in regard to the formula used

Result

After you have created the class and the characteristic, classify the components that are to flow into material reconciliation and assign values to the characteristics.
