Creation of Master Data 

Purpose

This process describes how to create a piece of test equipment for the calibration inspection and link with a measuring point/counter.

Prerequisites

Process Flow

  1. You create test equipment as equipment initially in test equipment management. You can make all the necessary entries in the equipment master record.
  2. You create a measuring point/counter with the required characteristic for the test equipment. You can either do this immediately in the equipment master record or by using test equipment management.

Result

You have created a piece of equipment as test equipment that you include in a maintenance plan in the next step of the calibration inspection, and then create a general maintenance task list. However, you can also create a maintenance task list for the equipment used as test equipment and subsequently assign this to the maintenance plan.
