Classifying Components for Material Reconciliation
Use
Material reconciliation can only be carried out if the components used are classified with a class of class type 050 for material reconciliation.
You carry out classification by assigning characteristics to the components. You then assign values to the characteristics according to your requirements.
You can assign values to characteristics in the master recipe or in the process order. It makes sense to do this in the process order if, for example, a component is only to flow into material reconciliation for certain orders.
For more information, see
Classification System.Prerequisites
Procedure
To assign values to these characteristics in the master recipe, proceed as follows:
The Change Material BOM: General Item Overview screen appears.
PPPI_MR_IF_USED: Relevance of component for material reconciliation: yes/ no
PPPI_MR_FORMULA: Formula for calculation
PPPI_MR_RANGE_HIGH: Upper tolerance limit to which a deviation is valid in regard to the formula used
PPPI_MR_RANGE_LOW: Lower tolerance limit to which a deviation is valid in regard to the formula used
To assign values to these characteristics in the process order, proceed as follow:
The Change Process Order: Material List screen appears.
The Change Process Order: Classification screen appears.
If the component was already classified for reconciliation in the master recipe, the system suggests the reconciliation class and the value assignment.
PPPI_MR_IF_USED: Relevance of the component for material reconciliation: yes/ no
PPPI_MR_FORMULA: Formula for calculation
PPPI_MR_RANGE_HIGH: Upper tolerance limit to which a deviation is valid in regard to the formula used
PPPI_MR_RANGE_LOW: Lower tolerance limit to which a deviation is valid in regard to the formula used
To change a value assignment that was made in the master recipe, choose Value assignment -> Characteristic grouping -> Display/change.
