If the employee leaves the company, certain infotype records must not be changed as they contain data that is retained for historical purposes. Other infotype records must be delimited in the system. You must ensure that the final payroll is run successfully, and that retroactive accounting has been performed, if necessary.

The Termination action type is used to document the fact that the employee has left the company. This action only offers you infotypes that must be edited when the employee leaves the company. For this reason, you need to run this action whenever an employee leaves the company.
