You divide your company into profit centers by assigning all the objects which contain profit-related data to your profit centers. By making these assignments, you can also display selected balance sheet items in Profit Center Accounting.

To obtain an overview of current assignments, see the Assignment Overview . It is also possible to display those objects which have not yet been assigned to a profit center. By going directly to the maintenance transactions for an account assignment object, you can retrieve or correct existing assignments.

An object’s assignment to a profit center is stored in that object’s master record. By choosing Master data ® Current settings, you can go directly to master data maintenance for the relevant objects, or carry out the corresponding activities in Profit Center Accounting Customizing.
