Posting the Final Payment 

In this transaction, you pay your vendor the amount that is still open. Although you perform this transaction manually, you can also make the payment automatically using the payment program.

  1. Select in the SAP R/3 System screen Accounting ® Financial accounting ® Accounts payable
  2. On the Accounts Payable screen, select Document entry ® Outgoing payment ® Post.
  3. On the Post Outgoing Payments: Header data screen, enter the following data:

    Invoice amount: 116.000,00

    Less cash discount: -3.480,00

    Less down payment: -11.600,00

  5. Select Process open items.
  6. Bypass a possible warning message by selecting Enter.
  7. A list of open items is displayed on the Post Outgoing Payments: Process open items screen.
  8. Because you selected Automatic search, the system displays the documents which, when added together, give the amount entered.

    The two amounts are listed in red. The difference between the total of the selected items ("Assigned") and your payment ("Amount entered") is zero.

  9. Select Document ® Post and note the document number.
  10. Return to the main SAP R/3 System screen.
