Personnel Cost Planning Using Basic Pay 

  1. Select Human resources ® Personnel management ® Personnel costs.
  2. In the Personnel Cost Planning screen, select Planning ® Create ® Basic pay.
  3. In the Planning Basis Basic Pay screen, enter the following data:

  5. Press Execute.
  6. If the Data Selection for Personnel Cost Planning screen appears, it means there are vacant positions in Org. unit 1001. Ignore the message that cost data is missing and select Continue without correction. You branch into the Personnel Costs per Organizational Unit overview screen. The upper half of the screen shows personnel costs per organizational unit and the lower half of the screen shows personnel costs based on Basic Pay (infotype 0008).

  7. In the "Organizational unit" area, scroll down about 3 pages and then double select Human Resources Administration. The system displays the persons assigned to this organizational unit.
  8. Press Back.
  9. If you want to consider the individual cost elements for a person, select the person by double clicking on the area Cost object.
  10. The cost elements from the infotype Basic Pay are listed for the person.
  11. Select Overview.

  12. Change the amount of a cost element by overwriting it. By selecting this field, you can specify an individual amount.
  13. Confirm your entries and press Back. The Personnel Costs per Organizational Unit screen appears, showing the values that have changed.
  14. End the procedure and return to the main SAP R/3 screen.
