Analysis of a statistical Order 

Next you will look at the order Laptops. This is a statistical order. In contrast to the other orders this one helps administer budgets for assets which are not assets under construction and are directly assigned to an account. A statistical order can be connected to one or more assets.

  1. Position your cursor on the line with the order Laptops on the column Budget and select Goto ® Measure reports.
  2. A dialog-box appears for reporting selection.

  3. In the dialog-box select the line Order: Actual/plan/commitments by cost elements with a double-click.
  4. Now again you are in the application internal orders in Controlling (CO-OM-OPA).

    On the Orders: Actual/plan/commitments: Result screen, you can recognize from the cost element that this is a balance sheet account.

  5. Position your cursor on the line 2100 Office equipment and select Line items.
  6. On the Order: Line Items (Actual) screen position your cursor on one order number and select Master Record.
  7. The basic data for the order Laptops is now displayed.

  8. On the Display internal order: Basic Screen screen, select Control.
  9. On the Display internal order: Control screen, you can see that the switch is set on „statistical".

  10. Return to the Order: Line Items (Actual) screen.
  11. Position your cursor on cost element 21000 and select Master Record.
  12. On the Display Cost Element: Basic screen , the cost element type shows that it is a statistical cost element, i.e. the order has been posted with statistical actual costs.

  13. Return to the Order: Line Items (Actual) screen.
  14. Select the bottom line item with a double-click.
  15. You enter the Display Document: Overview screen. In the second posting position you see the balance sheet account 21000 but under description another number is being displayed.

  16. With a double-click on the line 21000 in the column AccountNo. you enter the position view and see that it is an asset that has been assigned to an account.
  17. Return to the Order: Line Items (Actual) screen.
  18. You may have wondered that the order is listed four times. As mentioned above, it is possible that an order is connected to one or more assets. In this case four assets have been assigned to the order. If you execute a double-click to various positions you can see in the document overview that several assets have been assigned.

  19. Return to the main SAP R/3 system screen.
