Early Warning System

Definition

The Early Warning System aids the decision-making process by enabling you to select and monitor weak points in production processes. The Early Warning System is integrated in the Shop Floor Information System. The key figures of the Shop Floor Information System form the basis for the analysis.
The Early Warning System allows you to search for exceptional situations and thus helps you to detect and rectify potential problems at an early stage.

You can define your own exceptional situations in the form of ‘exceptions’, as well as the conditions for subsequent follow-up processing. If an exceptional situation occurs, then you can be informed automatically by mail or fax, for instance, or you can view the critical data in the system. The display of the critical data is supported by various visualization techniques.
