Successive Document Transfer
In this step, you start the program which reconstructs part of the
actual data in Cash Budget Management for projects based on the
documents from Financial Accounting (FI). It does this for the whole FM area.
Successive reconstruction of this type is advisable when there are so
many financial accounting documents that complete reconstruction of the actual data is not possible for performance reasons.
For the purposes of the reconstruction, the program takes over the
commitment item from the line item. If this is not in the document, or
if you set the indicator "Commitment item from G/L account", the program takes the commitment item from the G/L account.
Requirements
- Before reconstructing your actual data, deactivate the FM area by
deactivating the company codes to which you have assigned this FM area.
No postings may be made in the relevant company codes while actual data reconstruction is in progress.
- The old dataset must be deleted. See Delete actual data.
- If you have Materials Management in use, you must reconstruct the
actual data from the documents there before you reconstruct the actual
data from the accounting documents. For more information, read Take over data from Materials Management.
Activities
Reconstruct the actual data for your FM area.
1. Divide the timeframe for whic you want to take over data from financial
accounting into periods of less than one year which do not overlap and which have no gaps between them.
2. Run the program for each of the periods in turn, in chronological order.
