New functions in Manager's Desktop
Scope of Functions
The following functions have been introduced in Manager's Desktop:
- You can hide the virtual root, on which the organizational area of
responsibility in the area on the right of the screen is based. In
other words, you can hide the name of the user who holds the chief position. This will be hidden in all theme categories with a
corresponding structure.
- You can specify per theme category which tab pages, or views, are to be
available to the user for his/her area of responsibility.
- Based on these settings, the individual user can decide which of the
tab pages which are available to him or her for each theme category he or she wishes to display.
- You can specify that the line manager is not able to make
reorganizational changes using Drag and Drop within his/her area of responsibility.
- You can also specify that the initial screen is skipped and that a
particular theme category is called up immediately. When the user logs
on to Manager's Desktop for the first time, the theme category selected
as the first theme category in Customizing ('Employee') and the first tab page ('Directly subordinate employees') are displayed.
When the user subsequently logs on to Manager's Desktop, the last theme
category the user displayed as well as the last tab page and the most
recently expanded structure of the function tree on the left of the screen, are displayed.
- The name of the chief of an organizational unit can also be shown in an additional column on the right of the screen,
- You can also define your own combinations of columns (Array types).
