Maintaining Versions 

  1. On the SAP R/3 screen, choose Tools ® Business Engineer ® Customizing.

    2. If the First Steps in Customizing dialog box appears, choose Continue.

  2. On the Customizing screen, choose Implement. projects ® SAP Reference IMG
  3. On the Display Structure: SAP Reference IMG screen, choose Controlling ® Overhead Cost Controlling ® Cost Center Accounting ® Planning ® Basic Settings.
  4. Choose Execute for Maintain Versions.
  5. In the Choose Activity dialog box, position your cursor on Maintain versions and choose Choose.
  6. Choose Extras ® Set controlling area. Enter the relevant controlling area, then choose Enter.
  7. On the Change View "Basic Settings for Versions": Overview screen, select version 10, then choose Settings for fiscal year.
  8. On the Change View "Fiscal Year Dependent Version Parameters": Overview screen, select fiscal year 1999, then choose Details.

You can now see the current settings for planning year 1999 in version 10. This version includes, for example, integrated planning and the possibility of copying versions. Currency translation occurs at the average rate with a value date of 01.01.1997. To display more information about the remaining fields, position your cursor on the relevant field and choose F1 help

You now process the versions required for fiscal year 2000, using the settings from 1999.
  1. On the Change View "Fiscal Year Dependent Version Parameters": Details screen, choose Back.
  1. On the Change View "Fiscal Year Dependent Version Parameters": Overview screen, choose New entries.
  2. On the New Entries: Details of Added Entries screen, enter the following data:

  1. Choose Save.

    2. If the Enter Change Request dialog box appears, choose Create request. Enter a description, then confirm your entries twice.

  2. Choose Back.

    3. You can see that planning year 1999 has been added to the list.

  3. Choose Back until the Change View "Basic Settings for Versions": Overview screen appears.
  4. Repeat this procedure for versions 20, 21 and 110.
  5. Return to the SAP R/3 screen.
