Master Recipe Deletion

The following functions to delete master recipes are available:

You start this function in the master recipe. You can then no longer access the recipe from the following point in time:

Deleted master recipes still exist physically on the database. However, the system sets the internal online deletion indicator. You cannot remove this indicator.

During the next archiving run with a delete program, the recipes are physically deleted from the database.

You can use the delete program of the archiving function to physically delete master recipes from the database. You start the program in a background job.

One of the criteria for recipe selection you can determine is the deletion flag set in the recipe header. However, the deletion flag is not a prerequisite. A recipe can still be deleted if you have not set this flag.

Note that unlike the internal deletion indicator, you can still remove the deletion flag until the archiving run has been carried out.

Recipes for which the internal deletion indicator has been set are deleted irrespective of whether a deletion flag is set.

For more information on the archiving and physical deletion of master recipes, see Archiving and Deleting Master Recipes.
