The master recipe comprises a number of data, sometimes from different specialist areas. To enable easy access to specific information, the data is grouped according to subject areas and arranged at different levels depending on how detailed the data is. Clear and uniform navigation routes between these levels enable you to easily access any detail screen.

The following graphic illustrates the navigation levels and navigation routes for master recipes.

You will find the following functions in the pull-down menus on all screens:

• In the Recipe menu, functions that apply to the entire recipe, such as recipe check or scheduling
• In the Goto menu, access to the main overview screens Recipe overview, Operation overview, and Material list
• In the Extras menu, access to additional functions and settings, such as the recipe profile

The Goto menu is the only menu in which you will find additional functions depending on the screen or tab page you are on. These functions provide access to detail data of the recipe objects displayed.

You find the following data at the individual levels:

• On the initial screen, you enter data that is required to identify or select recipes. If you enter a production version here, you can branch directly to a recipe and material list and do not need to process further selection screens.
• The next level provides an overview of the recipe group. It contains:

• The recipe overview with the list of recipes belonging to the recipe group
• The material-recipe assignments, that is, the list of the materials that can be produced using the individual recipes

• The third level provides an overview of a recipe.

• The recipe status and usage
• The resource network in the production line
• The charge quantity of the master recipe

• The operations and phases describing the process steps of a master recipe
• The resources at which the steps are to be executed
• The control system or process operator that is to carry out the steps

• The material components used in the process
• Their assignments to operations and phases

• The fourth level provides further details on the recipe objects.

• General parameters for quality inspection during production
• Classification data of the recipe

• Data on external processing or personnel qualifications (general data)
• Standard values and other information for scheduling
• Selection conditions for primary resources
• Specifications for quality inspection during production

• Relationships
• Material components
• Secondary resources
• Production resources/tools
• Inspection characteristics
• Process instructions

• The formulas of material quantity calculation
• General information about the processing of the material components

• The lowest level contains further detail screens for the operation and phase assignments. They provide additional information, such as scheduling data for secondary resources or control indicators for inspection characteristics.
