Using the SAPphone Server 

Purpose

 

Prerequisites

The SAPphone server must be started before the first call. This also applies if the SAPphone server is running in start mode. In this case, only the additional program saptsa.exe is started and terminated before and after each call.

Process Flow

  1. Starting the SAPphone Server

Execute the file sapphone.exe

  1. Connecting to a TAPI Service Provider

If the option Start TAPI Server on program start is not selected, the TAPI client module of the SAPphone server must be started by selecting File ® Start TAPI Client module

  1. Connecting to R/3 for Outgoing Calls

If the option Start RFC Server on program start is not selected, the RFC server of the SAPphone server must be started by selecting File ® Start RFC server

  1. Connecting to R/3 for Incoming Calls
 

 

Result

The SAPphone server is ready for use. You can now test the connection to the TAPI service provider and the connection to the R/3 System.
