Defining Budgeting Rules 

  1. Access the overall budget using the Overall budget view.
  2. The Change Overall Budget screen appears.

  3. Select the budget structure element for which you want to define a budgeting rule.
  4. Choose Extras ® Budgeting rules ® Create.
  5. The Create Budgeting Rule dialog box appears. The FTEs available in the budget of the budget structure element in question are displayed in this dialog box.

  6. Select a budgeting rule type, and, if necessary, change the validity period of the budgeting rule.
  7. Enter the number of full-time equivalents that the budgeting rule is to affect.
  8. If the budgeting rule is to appear in the official documents that accompany the budget, select External rule.
  9. If necessary, enter administrative information.
  10. Choose Check.
  11. Choose Create and close.
