Maintain Planning Layout for Statistical Key Figures

In this activity, you can define and change planning layouts for planning statistical key figures.

When you define a layout for planning statistical key figures, the layout must include the following characteristics:

You must specify a characteristic value, a group, an interval, or a variable for each of these characteristics. If you specify a variable, it must be a mandatory variable, so that users are required to specify a value in planning.

The plan/actual indicator lets you distinguish between plan and actual data in the layout. If you do not want to display any actual data, you do not need to choose this characteristic at all. Otherwise you need to specify a plan/actual indicator for each row or for each column of the layout. For plan data, you must specify a version for each row or column, while for actual data, you cannot specify a version.

The characteristics "Functional area", "Representative material" and "Plant" are optional in the layout and can also be defined as optional variables. In that case, users do not need to specify a characteristic value in planning.

The characteristic "Origin object" is optional, though it must be specified if used in the layout. Note that if you summarize the data for this characteristic, it cannot be contained anywhere in the layout.

Planning layouts for statistical key figures cannot contain any key figures that store currency amounts. You can only plan quantities. The quantity units are automatically determined based on which statistical key figure you are planning. Consequently, the layout does not have to contain the characteristic "Quantity unit".

In the standard R/3 System, planning layouts only exist in client "000". To be able to use these as templates for your own planning layouts, you need to import them to the client you are using.
