Define Distribution Keys

Plan data for profit centers is usually created as annual data. This data is then distributed to periods using a "distribution key".

In this step you can define your own keys for distributing annual plan values to periods.

Standard settings

The standard R/3 System contains a number of pre-defined distribution keys. These cannot be changed.

• Distribution key 0
  This distribution key lets you enter the values per period manually.

• Distribution key 1
  This distribution key distributes the annual plan value equally to all the plan periods.

• Distribution key 2
  The annual plan value is distributed proportionally to the last distribution.

• Distribution key 3
  The value entered is interpreted as a percentage and distributed accordingly.

• Distribution key 4
  The periods containing values are distributed to the following periods which contain no values.

• Distribution key 5
  The periods containing values are copied to the following periods which contain no values.

• Distribution key 6
  The period value entered is carried forward to the following period.

• Distribution key 7
  The total value is distributed to the periods according to the number of calendar days per period.
