Activating Budgeting Rules 

Procedure

  1. Access the overall budget using the Overall budget view.
  2. The Change Overall Budget screen appears.

  3. Select the budget structure element for which the budgeting rule that you want to activate is defined.
  4. Choose Extras ® Budgeting rules ® Activate.
  5. The Activate Budgeting Rule dialog box appears.

  6. To activate the budgeting rule, choose Activation.
  7. The Create Activation dialog box appears.

  8. Enter the object type and object ID of the object that causes the budgeting rule to be activated.
  9. The event-driven budgeting rule is to be activated when the position Administrator XYZ becomes vacant. This position has become vacant. Consequently, you enter object type P (for position) and the object ID of position XYZ as the object that causes the budgeting rule to be activated.

  10. Enter the activation date, and the number of full-time equivalents to be activated.
  11. If necessary, enter administrative information.
  12. Choose Check.
  13. Choose Save and close.

Result

As of the activation date, the available budget of the budget structure element in question is reduced by the number of FTEs activated.
