Creating a TO Without a Source Document

Typically you do not use source documents to create transfer orders when you transfer goods from one storage bin to another storage bin within the same warehouse. This is also true for any transfer that is carried out first in WM and then later reported to IM, such as transferring pallets from production into the warehouse.

The procedure for creating a transfer order without a source document is the same as the procedure for creating an order with a source document, with one exception. You must manually enter the information that normally is contained in the source document.

To create a transfer order without a source document:

  1. Choose  TransOrder  ® Create  ® Without reference from the WM menu bar.
  2. Enter the information that normally comes from the source document on the initial screen: warehouse number, movement type (999 Warehouse Administration in the standard system for the manual process), quantity to be transferred, material and plant.
  3. Depending on the movement type, you may have to enter the requirement tracking type and number.

  4. Choose Preparation. The contents and format of the preparation screen will vary depending upon the movement type, for example, whether you are placing goods into the warehouse or removing goods from the warehouse.

You continue the processing as if you were creating a transfer order based on a transfer requirement with a single item.
