Generally, the system creates transfer orders (TOs) for transfer requirements automatically. For this process, the system creates TOs for a list of transfer requirements or deliveries using the multiple processing task or by generating them automatically when another system task is carried out.
When you create a transfer order manually using a transfer requirement, the process is summarized as follows:
- You choose the task from the WM menu bar and enter the appropriate data on the initial screen.
- On the preparation screen, you determine which transfer requirements are to be processed and to what degree.
- For each transfer requirement item in the Active work list the system generates one or more items in the transfer order, depending on how many storage bins are required. You can choose whether you want the system to process the transfer requirement in the background or display the screens used in the generation process on your monitor.
- If you process the transfer requirement in the foreground, once you have generated TO items for all the items in the transfer requirement, the system sends them to the Processed items tab. From this screen you post the generated transfer order to the data base.

The Processed items tab does not always appear. For example, when you choose Transfer order ® Post from any screen, the system immediately saves the active information to the database and displays the TO number that was generated.
