Displaying the Storage Capacity of the Warehouse 

This function allows you to display detailed summary information for storage types, storage bin sections and bin types on the same screen. You can also display two- and three-dimensional graphics information for each of the reports in this function.

In addition to providing information about the number and percentage of storage bins that are occupied in the warehouse, you can graphically display the actual percentage use of the occupied storage bins for each storage type and bin type. This provides the capability to closely analyze the distinction between the data provided for "occupied" and "empty" bins in your warehouse.

Procedure

To display the current storage capacity of your warehouse:

  1. Choose Master data   ® Storage bin   ® Evaluations   ® Capacity used from the WM menu bar.

    2. For the warehouse selected, you can enter a range of storage types and storage bins on the selection screen. You can also elect to display only unblocked bins or to print the storage type overview.

  2. Enter the selection criteria and choose  Execute.

    3. The system displays the storage capacity information for the storage types selected.

    If you printed the storage type overview, a combined summary of all the bin types in the storage type appears at the top of the list.

To display details about the storage type, choose Storage type details.

To display all storage bins in a storage type, position the cursor on the summary line at the top of the list and choose List of storage bins.

To display all storage bins belonging to a specific bin type, position the cursor on the desired bin type and choose  List of storage bins.

To display the percentage of bins occupied and the capacity used in a storage type as a two- or three-dimensional color graphic, position the cursor on the desired information line and choose Graphic.
