Changing Several Storage Bins at Once
Using WM you can delete or change the characteristics of several storage bins at once. This may become necessary for various reasons. These include:
- Assigning another storage section indicator to a group of storage bins
- Reassigning bins to another fire-containment section
- Assigning bins for hazardous material usage
- Reshelving or reslotting a storage area
- Correcting errors when creating storage bins (such as accidentally creating too many bins or assigning the wrong maximum weight specification)
- Resetting the cross-line placement sorting order for a group of bins (Note: reorganization necessary)
- Resetting the definition of the picking sequence for a group of bins

For detailed information about the cross-line placement search strategy and defining the picking sequence, see
Additional Factors that Affect the Search Strategies.

Several storage bins from the WM menu bar.
Enter the desired selection criteria on the initial screen and choose Execute.
From the list of bins displayed, select or deselect the appropriate storage bins.
The system will only process bins that have been selected.
To make changes to selected storage bins, choose Change storage bins and enter the data you want to change into the appropriate data fields.
To delete selected storage bins, choose Delete storage bins. For bins that are to be deleted, the system marks the Deletion indicator column.

The system will only delete empty bins and storage bins that are not blocked. If the system cannot delete a bin for one of these reasons, it will not select the Del.In column.
Save the data to the data base.

Some changes make it necessary to reorganize, for example, when you change the sort field or the capacity data.
