SAP/Informix Database Monitor
The SAP/Informix Database Monitor was developed to enable SAP to support its Informix customers remotely, and to integrate database and SAP views of resource consumption in the database. Informix stores statistics on database state and activity either in real tables on disk or virtual tables in memory. These tables in memory are also known as "pseudotables", the interface to these tables is the "sysmaster interface". The SAP/Informix Database Monitor is implemented using queries to these tables. Queries to these tables can be made either on the database server or from a separate computer.
