Checking Alerts from the Control Panel 

You can also display the global system alerts as a text list.

To display the list of alerts (not a graphic):

From the main R/3 menu, select Tools ® Administration ® Computing Center ® Management System ® Control ® Control Panel

The screen CCMS Control Panel: Operating Mode and Server Statuses is displayed. You can see the alert status of the application instances of your R/3 System (Status column).

An alert provides a short explanation of the cause of the alert along with technical information for error analysis. For a more detailed analysis, other tools are also available, such as:

To get more details on an alert:

  1. Position the cursor on an instance in the Control Panel list.

    2. (You can also double-click a line to select it. The line is then highlighted.)

  2. Select Alert details

The Alert Overview is displayed for the server you have selected. The reason for the alert is shown by the alert type.
